Great Wolf Lodge is full of fun family activities. The main attractions revolve around the lodge’s indoor waterpark, which it is known for. Here you’ll find several different slides, pools, and splash pads geared towards kids of all ages. Let the little ones enjoy the splash pads, while the teens and adults can take the adventurous path on the water slides.
In addition to the wonderful water park, you’ll find story-time, arts and crafts, and character appearances, which will keep kids from saying the words all parents dread…”I’m bored”.
You also don’t have to worry about leaving the lodge to find something to eat. From fast food options to more elegant food and wine pairings, there’s something for everyone and every palate. Also, you’ll enjoy the fact that in order to take advantage of the waterpark and activities, you need to be a registered guest at the lodge, so the crowds should be manageable.
Glenwood Hot Springs Resort
Located just under three hours from Denver, Glenwood Hot Springs Resort is a great place for a staycation. The pool at this resort should be on your list because it’s the world’s largest mineral hot springs pool!
Taking in the waters, as many refer to it, is thought to be a healing tradition. While adults will enjoy that aspect, kids can also have fun in the pool just floating and playing. Glenwood Hot Springs has two pools; the water is cooled down to 104°F for the resort’s hot tub-like Therapy Pool and it’s cooled down even further to the bathwater-warm temperature of between 90° – 93°F for the gigantic main pool.
