Lake Tahoe offers a plethora of activities all year round, but winter is especially magical. From fun sleigh and gondola rides to snowshoeing, there’s a little something for everyone, including the younger members of your family!

Sleigh Rides

Nothing says winter family fun like a horse drawn sleigh ride. The Borges Family has been offering their sleigh rides since 1967.

There are also opportunities to take rare photos of the landscape so you won’t want to miss out on your chance. Tickets for the winter UTV Tours can only be bought at the top of the gondola. The tours are $35 per person.

The ride is just over two miles with a stop at the observation deck for beautiful views and photo opportunities. You can also grab a hot cup of cocoa and a snack before finishing your ride to the top at Tamarack Lodge. Meet up with friends and catch live music Monday-Thursday. There’s so much to do and see you’ll wonder why you haven’t taken this gondola ride sooner!

We love South Lake Tahoe for many reasons, but access to fabulous winter activities is one of our top reasons. Choose one or all of these activities and make memories you won’t soon forget!
