The holiday season is here and there areso many fun things to do! From visits to Santa Claus to holiday light displays, Denver is the place to be to get in the holiday spirit. Check out these five events you won’t want to miss this year:
The Polar Express is a timeless holiday classic that is recreated aboard this train ride at the Colorado Rail Museum.
Hop aboard and get whisked away by the sights and sounds of this Christmas tale. Performances are going on right now through December 23rd. Dress the kids in their jammies (you can too!) to get a true feel of the Polar Express. Because it’s so popular, a lot of people buy tickets when they first go on sale in August, so act fast if you want to try and get tickets.
Skating at the Downtown Denver rink at Skyline Park is something the whole family can do together this holiday season.
Bring your own skates or rent ones there for a small fee. If you bring your own skates, you’ll skate for free because there is no fee at the rink. Take in the beautiful decorations that surround the rink throughout the holiday season. If you can’t make it before Christmas, the rink is open for skating until February 14th.
What child wouldn’t want to be a part of Team Santa? Let your child have the chance at Santa’s Flight Academy located right at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center.

When your child joins Santa’s Flight Academy he is part of the flight crew. Not only will he get a special visit with Santa, but he’ll also get a personalized cadet badge, learn how to operate the sleigh, dance under magical lights and snowfall, and try on a virtual flight suit. It’s an experience that will provide a lifetime of memories. Take advantage of this experience soon because Santa goes back to the North Pole Christmas Eve.
Come visit Chatfield Farms this holiday season as it’s transformed into Santa’s Village.

Beautiful lights adorn the entire area as you and your children meet Santa and Mrs. Claus…and all of the reindeer, of course! Admission to Santa’s Village also includes a hayride to see a short movie in Santa’s cinema, a craft with Mrs. Claus, and a visit to Santa’s workshop. Be sure to buy your tickets before you get there because tickets are limited each night. Santa’s Village is open November 24th through Christmas Eve.
Get in the holiday spirit at Blossoms of Light at Denver’s Botanic Gardens.
