Lace up your skates and get ready to visit the Holiday Ice Rink at the Embarcadero.People have been going to the largest outdoor ice rink in the Bay Area for nearly thirty years.
This is a great choice if you want to get the family together around the holidays. There are special group rates available so be sure to look into that if you are going with a lot of people. The ice rink is surrounded by plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy, so you can make a day of it. If you don’t have your own skates, don’t worry, you can rent them for just $5 a pair.This seasonal event is open November 3rd-January 7th.
Shark Diving Adventure
If you’re looking to explore nature like you never have before, then this shark diving adventure along the Gulf of the Farrallones Marine Sanctuary is just the thing.

You don’t have to be an experienced diver to climb into the shark cage! A team of divers, naturalists and shark diving specialists will be with you on your journey. During this trip you’ll see some of the world’s largest white sharks as they feed on Northern Elephant Seals. It’s not for the faint at heart but it’s certainly an experience you’ll never forget!
Discovery Day at AT&T Park
Do you know the saying, “if it’s free, it’s for me?” If that describes you then the 7th annual Discovery Day at AT&T Park is just the thing! Part of the Bay Area Science Festival,this jam-packed day of science fun takes place on November 11th this year. Every level of AT&T Park will include some type of science activity. Local scientists and engineers will be on hand to answer your questions as you take part in fun and educational entertainment.
Learn how play dough can be used as a conductive material as well as how a robot picks up an object and climbs. Be sure to register online to secure your spot at this free event. Hours are 10a.m.-4p.m.
Pinot Days
Looking for a relaxing afternoon minus the kids? Then check out Pinot Days in San Francisco.
This annual wine tasting event is taking place on November 11th from 2-5p.m. at the Bespoke at Westfield Shopping Centre on Market Street. Sample Pinot Noir wines from more than 70 wineries in the U.S. and beyond. Tickets for the public tasting are $75 and $125 for the V.I.P. tasting. The V.I.P. tasting starts at noon and includes a one-hour sit down tasting with a group of up to 50 people. Four wineries pour at a time as you learn more about the participating wineries.
Save the Waves Film Festival
Check out some great films and support a worthy cause all at the same time during the Save the Waves Film Festival. This festival features a variety of thought-provoking documentaries made in the U.S. and around the globe.
