Spring break doesn’t mean spending a lot of money and traveling to faraway places. There are plenty of fun things for you and the kids to do right here in Utah. More and more families are opting for a staycation rather than a traditional vacation, not only because it can be more economical, but also because there’s plenty to do right here in our home state. Check out these three great Spring Break staycation ideas if you call the beehive state your home.

Staybridge Suites, Salt Lake West Valley

Moms and dads will love the Staybridge Suites in Salt Lake West Valley because it’s affordable. Kids will love it because of the fun indoor Grins and Fins Water Park fully equipped with slides and splash areas. The indoor pool is also heated so there’s no need to worry!  There are also table and chairs for parents to sit while they watch the kids at the pool. When the kids are done with the waterpark, take a drive to the nearby Hogle Zoo to see giraffes and lions or go to Miller Motorsports Park for go karts and race car fun. There’s something for the entire family.

If you want to adventure further during your stay, you can visit the Grand Canyon which is about a two-hour ride. As far as lodging goes, it depends on what you like. The choices range from your basic tents to cabins; cabins sleep up to six people and have a private bathroom. There’s also the option of bringing an RV.
